Be a Community Champion: Improving School Wellness Bendle Public Schools

I was honored to be invited to be featured in an MSU (Michigan State University) Extension Community Champions video, recognizing individuals who turn ideas into action, bring people and resources together to build healthier communities, and create lasting positive change.

I was selected in recognition of my commitment to creating healthier school environments, particularly through my collaboration with MSU Extension educator Julia Simon upon the review and enhancement of our school's Local Wellness Policy, as well as my leadership in advancing school nutrition and Farm to School initiatives. This opportunity reflects the power of partnerships and the impact that can be made when communities work together to support the health and well-being of children.
